A WOMAN suffered a back injury when she was involved in a three-car accident during rush hour in Darlington.
Emergency services were called to a collision involving a Land Rover, a VW and a taxi near to Darlington Hippodrome at 4.10pm this afternoon.
At one stage, it was believed the injured woman would have to be cut free from the Polo due to her injuries, but she eventually got out of the vehicle with assistance.
The woman’s injuries were not believed to be serious, and no one else was hurt in the accident.

Nearby shoppers described hearing a "large thud" between the three vehicles.
The road outside the Hippodrome was blocked off for more than an hour, as two fire engines, two police cars and an ambulance attended the scene.
