A CLEVER canine in need of an owner is keen to show off his repertoire of skills after learning new tricks with a Dogs Trust trainer.
Five-year-old Labrador-cross, Pedro, has been working on sitting, staying and loose lead walking during his stay at Dogs Trust Darlington’s Sadberge rehoming centre.
The sensitive dog is willing to learn in exchange for treats and is expected to make further progress during his training.
Sue Embleton, Rehoming Centre Manager at Dogs Trust Darlington, said: “Pedro would benefit from a quieter adult only home with experienced dog owners who will be dedicated to continuing his training which he loves.
“Pedro will need to be given time and understanding to settle into a new home and find his feet at his own pace.
“He is particular about his canine friends so will need to be the only pet in the home.”
The Dogs Trust rehoming centre is open from Thursday to Tuesday each week, between 12pm and 4pm.
The site is closed on Wednesdays.
