A POIGNANT tribute to emergency services personnel will be the theme of this year’s mass dance festival taking place in Darlington’s Market Square.
More than 700 dancers took part in last year’s Darlington Dance Festival Association’s Mass Dance, which is organised by volunteers bringing together dancers of all ages.
Would-be dancers are once again being invited to join this year’s effort.
Darrien Wright, of Dance Wright Studio, said: “This is a unique event and we want everyone to join us – firemen, police, health service workers and front line services. Come and have a go.”
Dance schools are urged to contact the association to be taught the mass dance routine in time for this year’s festival on May 20.
Open sessions will be hosted every Wednesday from April 19 at noon, in the Dance Wright Studio, Risdale Street, Darlington.
