EASTER eggs for families who might be struggling to afford them are being collected by a financial services store.

Virgin Money Darlington is collecting eggs from the public, on behalf of the Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) in the town.

Anyone can donate an egg at the store, regardless of whether they are a Virgin Money customer or not.

And they can be dropped off directly in the shop, on High Row, until the beginning of April.

Julie Robinson, Virgin Money Darlington Store Manager, said: “We are collecting on behalf of the Citizen’s Advice Bureau in Darlington, which plays an important part in our local community.

“ I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has already made a donation, we are extremely grateful.

“For anyone who would still like to donate an Easter Egg there is still time and we are taking donations up to the beginning of April.

“You don’t have to be a Virgin Money customer, everyone is welcome, just pop in and see us and you can help to make a real difference this Easter.’’
