AN ADVENTUROUS dog who has travelled to see a North-East landmark is now on the lookout for a new home in the region.

Tyler, a five-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier, was recently taken by his canine carers at Dogs Trust Darlington to visit the Transporter Bridge in Middlesbrough.

The homeless hound posed for pictures and was walked along the riverside before returning to his temporary kennel accommodation in the Trust’s Sadberge site to be reunited with his beloved toys.

Sue Embleton, rehoming centre manager at Dogs Trust Darlington, said: “This adorable chap loves his toys, sometimes a bit too much, and it can be an adventure getting him to share.

“Tyler can be quite an independent boy but is very happy playing with his toys and will be your best friend for a tasty treat.

“Tyler already knows how to sit, lie down and give a paw, so it’s no surprise he enjoys learning new things.

“Tyler would need to be the only dog in the home as he prefers human companionship and likes to soak up all the attention in the home.

“He could live with older teenagers aged 14 years and older.

“He would also benefit by living with a family who have experience in caring for bull breeds but his exuberant nature and joy for life would make anyone fall instantly in love with him.”
