RESCUE dogs in need of re-homing will be transported from their Darlington base to North Yorkshire as part of a drive to raise pounds for homeless hounds.

The Dogs Trust’s Dogmobile will carry canines from the charity’s Dogs Trust Darlington rehoming centre to the Market Place in Richmond town centre where experts will offer advice between 9am and 4pm today.

The roving rehoming unit’s Dogmobile manager, Mal Green, said: “The Dogmobile is a fun, interactive way to help people find out more about rehoming a rescue dog and the brilliant work of Dogs Trust.

“Whilst dogs are not directly rehomed from the Dogmobile, if you do find that it’s puppy love after meeting our adorable dogs, we encourage you to visit our centres to find out more about making a new best friend.”
