VISITORS to a Darlington cinema were treated to a spectacular solo performance of The Sleeping Beauty by local ballet dancer, Faye Garbutt.
The 15-year-old, who has been dancing with The Tiffany School of Dance since she was three, entertained Vue customers in the foyer, complete with a jewel encrusted pink tutu.
She was performing to mark the upcoming live screening of The Bolshoi Ballet: The Sleeping Beauty, which takes place on Tuesday, February 28 at 7pm with the encore on March 2 at 2pm.
General manager Rachel Carter said: “Faye’s performance was truly magical and enchanted our customers.
“It was a very fitting way to mark the live screening of The Sleeping Beauty, which is just one of a series of beautiful ballet performances coming to Vue Darlington this year.”
Ballet fans can enjoy a fabulous line-up of ballet performances, including The Sleeping Beauty, on the big screen with the best view in the theatre.
The teenager is studying Grade 8 and Advanced 1 ballet as well as juggling her final year of GCSE exams.
