The former Darlington Independent Advisory Group was formed alongside Darlington Police in June, 1985.
MEMBERS of the former Darlington Independent Advisory Group (DIAG) have agreed to produce a new mission statement after adopting a new name.
During a meeting last week, members decided to become the Darlington Unity Group, as part of a commitment to working with the town’s diverse communities, alongside Darlington Police.
The group are set to release plans later this year outlining their proposals to tackle hate crime and encourage cohesion within the borough.
The former DIAG group formed in June, 1985.
