A PROJECT supporting people into work or training will join one North-East town’s first volunteers’ fair.
Step Forward Tees Valley was launched to target people who have previously found it difficult to secure a job because of issues with self-confidence, addiction, a conviction or ill health.
The project uses volunteering to help those out of employment to gain new skills and the group will take part in One Darlington Partnership’s Volunteers’ Fair on Thursday, February 2.
Helen Collins, programme manager for Step Forward Tees Valley, said: “I know how hard it is for some people to think about work or training because of issues they face.
“Volunteering is another way we can work with people to boost their confidence and help them build skills for a brighter future.”
The will open in the Dolphin Centre’s Central Hall, Horsemarket, Darlington, between 2pm and 6pm.
