A DIFFICULT start to life has left one five-year-old lurcher looking for a home away from home after being taken in at Dogs Trust Darlington.

Willow arrived at the centre with her sister, Katie, who was soon rehomed, however Willow was left behind and underwent a major operation on her hip in August last year.

Rehoming centre staff said Willow has recovered well from her surgery and is in need of an owner to give her short walks and attention.

A Dogs Trust spokesman said: “Willow has a sensitive side and likes taking her time getting to know new people.

“However once she does, she is very affectionate and loves nothing better than to snuggle up for some cuddles.

“Willow may prefer to be an only dog in a home and have all the attention for herself.

“With time and some guidance, Willow’s true personality will shine and she will be a fabulous companion.”

Willow can be visited at Dogs Trust Darlington, Hill House Lane, Sadberge, from 12pm until 4pm from Thursdays through to Tuesdays.
