A CHARITY is hoping a Halloween event will raise a ‘spooktacular’ amount of money this weekend.
Herriot Hospice Homecare has been named as Paddock Farm Nursery & Water Gardens’ Charity of the Year.
The first fundraising event being held by the visitor attraction, in Dalton-on-Tees, near Darlington, is a Halloween night on Saturday, October 29.
Paddock Farm is inviting children to come dressed up in their finest Halloween costumes as there will be a competition for the best spookiest outfit, along with apple bobbing, face painting and pumpkin carving competition. Snacks and drinks will also be available in the café.
Alexandra Weighell, Herriot Hospice Homecare’s Area Fundraiser, said: “We would be very grateful for anything that people can donate on the evening.”
Entry is free but there will be bucket donation on the door, with all the money raised being donated to Herriot Hospice Homecare.
The event runs from 5pm to 7pm at venue at Dalton Gates, West Lane, Dalton-on-Tees.
