A POPULAR activities hub has used a charitable donation to buy bikes and scooters for its young clients.
The Darlington Bondgate Round Table (DBRT) association recently presented a cheque for £500 to 4Motion Darlington which operates an indoor skate park and supports the West Park bike track.
New bikes for the organisation’s toddler and learner cycling lessons were purchased as a result, along with scooters for use at the skate park.
Nigel Potter from 4Motion said: “We are really grateful for the donation.
“Having this extra equipment means we have extra scooters for hire and can help children learn to ride on right sized bikes which makes it so much easier.”
The chairman of DBRT, Matt Booker, said: “DBRT is always excited to support great local causes like 4Motion.
“Funding these bikes and scooters may seem like a small gesture but it will make a big difference to everyone who takes advantage of the learn to ride sessions and the skate park.”
