BUSINESSES are being offered the opportunity to trade as pop-up shops in Darlington.
The town’s historic covered market currently has several vacant units under its roof.
Darlington Borough Council is now offering businesses the opportunity to temporarily take them over and trade as pop-up shops.
The units will be available free of charge for up to five consecutive days, with applications accepted on a first come, first served basis.
A statement from the authority said: “Our aim is to ensure a well-balanced and interesting mix of goods.
“Only goods which are not available within the covered market complex will be allowed to take up the offer.”
Anyone interested in taking over a unit should email markets@darlington.gov.uk or contact the markets events office on 01325 406189.
