EMERGENCY services were called to two accidents in County Durham on Tuesday morning.

A woman in her 60s was travelling on Stockley Lane, near Stanley Crook, when her Peugeot 207 left the road just before 8am.

The road was partially blocked while emergency services dealt with the incident but has since reopened.

It is not believed she suffered any injuries.

At Great Stainton, near Darlington, a woman in her 40s was travelling on Glebe Road when her car left the road and struck a wall. 

She was taken to Darlington Memorial Hospital but the extent of her injuries are not known.

The road was closed both ways for part of the morning but has since reopened.
