STARGAZING and 'own a pony' days are just two of the more unusual pursuits now being offered by a North-East hotel resort.
Rockliffe Hall near Darlington has launched a new range of activities, which also includes clay pigeon shooting and even tandem sky diving.
The Bishop Auckland Astronomical society is just one regional activity provider which has joined forces with Rockliffe to offer a winter full of opportunities to try something different at the resort.
Stargazing sessions will include a laser tour of the night sky and guests will be offered the chance to use professional telescopes to view the skies.
The resort is also now offering bikes for guests to hire so they can explore the nearby North Yorkshire Moors and Dales.
Eamonn Elliott, Chief Executive at Rockliffe Hall, says: “There is already so much to see and do at Rockliffe Hall while you unwind and get away from it all, but for those who want some thrill-seeking or fun with the family, these new activities are perfect.”
Some activities, including Nordic Walking classes and croquet are complimentary while others cost from £10 for half day bike hire to up to £250 per person for tandem sky diving.
A specially designed Activities Brochure will be provided in each hotel room outlining what’s available.
