A RACIALLY-aggravated incident involving a Darlington man and woman has seen police issue an appeal for witnesses of the alleged offence.
The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon (July 23) in a busy pedestrian area outside BHS, off Northgate, in Darlington’s town centre.
Darlington Police stated that a woman had been verbally abused by a white man, who is described as being between 46 and 55-years-old.
A police spokesman said: “If you witnessed this incident, or can offer any further information, please contact us on telephone number 101 and ask for PC 252 Thompson.”
