FOUR-LEGGED fun was the order of the day at a Darlington park at the weekend.
Darlington Dogs’ Trust’s annual Summer Fun Day saw hundreds of people – and their canine friends – descend upon South Park for an afternoon of unusual activity.
The sun shone as a parade of pooches enjoyed a host of fun and games, with their owners able to peruse a variety of stalls.
A highlight of the event was a lively game of ‘musical mats’, in which dogs had to find a place on a mat once the music stopped.
The Dogs’ Trust also held its annual parade of dogs looking for homes.
One visitor said: “It was a lovely day, the sun was shining throughout and dogs and their owners had a great time.
“There were all kinds of dogs there, from Great Danes to spaniels, and the atmosphere was buzzing.
“Hundreds of people came to have a nice day and loads were enjoying picnics in the sun – it was a lovely time.”
