A HOST of celebrated comedians, singers and mind-readers are set to take the stage for charity.
The Darlington Fundraising Group have organised the fundraiser to boost Marie Curie Cancer Care that provide vital palliative services.
ITV’s Show Me The Funny winner and comedian, Patrick Monahan, Darlington-born singer, Oli Patto, a mind-reader and Circus Stars on Tour will headline the fundraiser in June.
Darlington Fundraising Group’s Leigh Taylor said: “This service ensures that people in the Darlington area, living with a terminal or life limiting illness, receive nursing care in their place of choice.
“The service also provides discharge support for patients from hospital or hospice and ensures a speedy transfer to their preferred place of care, with the support they, and their families, need to remain there.
“Knowing that it cost £20 an hour for a Marie Curie Nurse to offer vital care and support, buying tickets for this great night out can make a real difference to people living with a terminal illness.”
The variety evening will open to guests at 7pm on Monday, June 13, at the Darlington Club and Railway Institute, on North Road.
Tickets are £8 in advance or £9 on the door and they are available through Catherine Hutchinson, on 07941-738299 or the Darlington Marie Curie Fundraising Group Facebook page.
