A RENOWNED artist who specialises in painting prestigious golf courses across the globe has unveiled his latest commission at Rockliffe Hall.
Graeme Baxter holds the title of official artist for The Open and the Ryder Cup, alongside both PGA and European Tours.
And now the Scottish-born artist has turned his attention to the first hole of the hotel’s course in Hurworth, near Darlington.
Warwick Brindle, chairman of Rockliffe Hall, said: “We’ve been keen to commission an official painting of Rockliffe’s fantastic golf course for some time and considered Graeme the best person for the job.
“He has painted some of the world’s most famous courses and we’re delighted that he can now add Rockliffe Hall to that list.”
The piece, which is on display in Rockliffe Hall’s main reception, has put the course on a par with Mr Baxter’s other works on show in clubhouses at the St Andrew’s, Augusta, Pebble Beach.
