VISITORS to the Cornmill Shopping Centre will have the opportunity to dress to impress this Christmas with the arrival of a new pop-up boutique.
Poppy Bridal, an occasion dress specialist, has a flagship boutique in Darlington’s Duke Street but has opened a pop-up shop in the Cornmill for six weeks to make the most of the Christmas shopping period.
Owner, Paula Whittaker, said: “I’m delighted to have a presence at the Cornmill over the festive season as the venture comes at a time when young girls are looking for their summer prom dresses and ladies are on the lookout for something special for their Christmas parties.
“So far, footfall has been phenomenal and we’ve seen real benefit in offering our customers a walk-in approach as opposed to our usual appointment-only service.”
Susan Young, Cornmill centre manager, said: “We are delighted that Poppy Bridal will be at the centre until the New Year.
“The store brings a lot of glamour to the centre and offers something that is completely unique to women of all ages so it’s no surprise that it has been such a hit with shoppers.”
Poppy Bridal is open in the centre on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays until January 3.
