SANTA will be steaming into Darlington to meet youngsters at a series of special events at the Head of Steam museum next month.

The railway museum will host to a magical grotto where Santa will be rewarding ‘good’ boys and girls with a Christmas present.

The first “Santa at the Station” events will be held on December 12 and 13, followed by a return visit on December 19 and 20.

All events run from 10am until 4pm.

As well as meeting Santa, visitors can enjoy entertainment including mini train rides, arts and crafts as well as face painting.

There will also be a range of tasty treats served in the museum café, where a full menu will be on offer.

Pre-booking is essential; admission prices are £6 for children, £4 for adults or you can buy a family ticket for £20 (two adults and three children). For members prices are £6 for children while adults go free.
