INVESTIGATIONS are continuing into two suspected arson attacks in Darlington over the weekend.
As previously reported in The Northern Echo, two fires which appear to have been started deliberately broke out at Darlington Town Hall and a social services building at North Lodge, off Northgate, in the early hours of Sunday morning.
A third fire also ravaged the roof of Carmel Medical Practice on Nunnery Lane, although officers could not confirm whether all three incidents were linked.
Speaking today (Monday, August 31) Det Insp Audra Fawcett told The Northern Echo: “We are continuing with our enquiries and reviewing any CCTV footage available.
“We would still appeal to anyone with any relevant information to give us a call.”
Darlington CID can be contacted via the non-emergency number 101.
