A SERIES of bat walks are taking place across Darlington to let residents learn more about these illusive nocturnal creatures.
Rockwell Nature Reserve, South Park is the next venue to host a bat trail on Thursday, September 3 and participants should meet at the Clock Tower Lodge at 7.45pm.
The following Wednesday (September 9) a bat walk will take place at West Cemetery – meet at the car park at 7.35pm – followed by a trail at the Denes on Friday (September 11) at the Tennis Dene, off Deneside Road from 7.30pm.
North Park will then host a walk on Thursday, September 24, meeting at the park’s Cumberland Street entrance at 6.50pm.
All participants are asked to wear warm clothes and take along a torch.
