CELEBRATIONS have been held at a North-East nursery to mark its 25th anniversary.
William House Day Nursery, in Darlington, marked 25 years at their Barton Street site with a day of festivities.
Youngsters and staff at the private day nursery enjoyed a bouncy castle and cake, as well as dancing, balloons and party games.
The nursery was launched by Mary Boulton in August 1990 and provides care for children from newborns to 11-year-olds.
“It was a brilliant day, everybody had a lovely time. Everybody had a happy time and things were happening all day,” said Mrs Boulton.
“When we first opened nobody had heard of having a private nursery – we were quite unique in that way.
“We have steadily grown and become more popular by word of mouth. The children here do exceptionally well.”
