THE ‘RAT PACK’ of opera needs new members.
The acclaimed trio Tenors Unlimited has launched a competition to find a choir to perform alongside them in Darlington next month.
Dubbed the Rat Pack of opera, the trio are looking for choirs to join them on stage at the Darlington Civic Theatre on Monday, September 28.
Choirs of any kind are invited to compete for a space alongside Tenors Unlimited, who are appearing as part of their From Venice to Vegas tour.
Member Jem Sharples said: “The choir can be any age group, but we’d like to encourage school and youth choirs to enter our competition.”
He added: “The group can be one sex or mixed, children and/or adults. We may even choose more than one choir.”
Tenors Unlimited, formed in 2002, are made up of Sharples, Scott Ciscon and Paul Martin.
After honing their individual talents in opera and theatre, they have released two albums and performed alongside stars including Sting, Lionel Ritchie and Beyonce.
To enter, choirs must upload a video of them singing one or two of their favourite songs to You Tube (set as private) and email the link to contact@tenorsunlimited.com.
Videos will not be shared with any third parties and the closing date for entries is Monday, August 31.
