ORGANISATIONS from across the region showed their support for a North-East hospice with a knockout fundraising attempt.

Hundreds of visitors descended on Darlington this weekend for the annual It’s a Knockout Challenge, held at Blackwell Meadows Rugby Club.

Dozens of teams from businesses and community organisations from across the North-East were put through their paces in a range of quirky activities, including spacehopping and an inflatable assault course.

The annual event raises thousands for St Teresa’s Hospice, in Darlington, which provides respite care for seriously ill people across South Durham and North Yorkshire.
