DOGS Trust Darlington’s ‘Dogmobile’ rolled into town this week to promote pet rehoming and raise pounds for hounds.

The special van arrived at Morrisons in Morton Park today (Wednesday, May 27) and will be back at the venue tomorrow (Thursday, May 28) from 9am to 4.30pm.

It gives supporters and doting dog lovers a chance to find out more about the work of Dogs Trust and to meet some of the charity’s four legged friends.

On board the Dogmobile will be some of the pooches from the Dogs Trust Rehoming Centre in Darlington, all looking for brand new homes.

These charismatic canines will be on hand to greet members of the public and animal experts will also be on hand to offer advice on finding your perfect dog and to talk about the various opportunities to support the charity.

Dogmobile manager, Malcolm Green, explains: “The Dogmobile is a fun, interactive way to help people find out more about rehoming a rescue dog and the brilliant work of Dogs Trust. “Whilst dogs are not directly rehomed from the Dogmobile, if you do find it’s puppy love after meeting our adorable doggies, we encourage you to visit our centres to find out more about making a new best friend.”

“You’ll also be able to find out about the charity’s fantastic ‘Sponsor a Dog’ scheme and how you can make a difference by volunteering at your local Dogs Trust centre.”
