EXHIBITION organisers are urging visitors to Darlington to visit their gallery.
The Darlington Building Society hosts an on-going exhibition displaying the works of the town’s creative community.
With a regularly changing rota of artists, the intimate gallery aims to reflect the diversity of art produced in the town.
The work on show is produced largely by local artists who are part of the Darlington Society of Arts.
Richard Moses, from the society, said: “A lot of people visit the town centre and don’t realise there’s an exhibition going on just over the road.
“We’ve been running it for about five years and it would be lovely if people came to Darlington and had a look at it - it’s very important to have something like this in the centre.”
Exhibitions at the gallery change on the last Friday of the month.
From Friday, May 29 the art on display will be from Colin Graham, Daphne Weerasinge and Ann Howe.
The Darlington Society of Arts meets on Wednesday nights at Hummersknott Academy from 7pm until 9pm. All are welcome.
