HUNDREDS of performers from across the country helped ensure an annual dance festival was a huge success.

The Keep Fit Association (KFA) held its North-East Panorama festival of movement and dance at the Dolphin Centre, in Darlington, attracting dancers of all ages.

The shows were watched by scores of people, including the town’s deputy mayor, Councillor Tom Nutt, and featured a range of dances by all the branches of KFA Moves North-East.

Catherine Gilsenan, from the association, described the event as a spectrum of music and dance.

“The event went really well. We had people coming from across the region to watch the show,” she said.

“There was dancing with scarves and ribbons, and all sorts of other dances.

“We also had a range of music, from Uptown Funk, to Katherine Jenkins, and Phantom of the Opera to Shakira.”
