EACH month The Northern Echo highlights one of the many dogs looking for a home at the Dogs Trust Darlington, in Sadberge, near Darlington.
MIA is a seven-year-old crossbreed who arrived at the centre recently due to a change in her owners’ circumstances.
She is described by Dogs Trust staff as an affectionate girl who enjoys receiving lots of attention and cuddles and who always greets her friends with a wagging tail.
Mia would prefer to live with human companions who will not leave her home alone for too long and she may even benefit from living with another dog to help her find her feet.
Rebecca McKeown, supporter relations officer at the centre, said: “She will be suitable to live in a family with children who are aged over 11 years old and is looking for owners who can be patient and understanding.
“We hope Mia finds her loving home soon as she is such a sweet girl and would be a fantastic four-legged companion.”
To find out more about Mia call the Darlington rehoming centre on 01325 333114.
People can also visit the centre between noon and 4pm everyday, or noon to 7pm Thursdays. The centre is closed on Wednesdays.
