A MAN has appeared before magistrates following an alleged altercation involving a fake hand gun outside a town centre pub.
Stuart Lawson, of British School Yard, Darlington, is charged with possessing an imitation firearm, namely a gas charged BB gun, with intent to cause fear of violence.
The alleged incident is said to have occurred outside The Hoskins in Blackwell Gate, Darlington, on Sunday, March 29.
The 30-year-old did not enter a plea when he appeared before magistrates in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, today (Wednesday, April 1).
He spoke only to confirm his name, age and address.
Magistrates committed the case to Teesside Crown Court on Wednesday, April 15.
Mr Lawson was remanded in custody.
