A MENTAL health charity has been recognised for its ICT training.
Darlington Mind has been awarded Grade A status by the Chartered Institute for IT for the 13th year running.
More than 1,000 people with mental health issues have obtained qualifications from the charity since their ICT project began 13 years ago.
Chief executive Gary Emerson said: “We want to make sure that people with mental health issues get access to the excellent ICT training in the region to help in their recovery and to increase their levels of confidence.
“Many of the students at our centre suffer with depression, anxiety and bi-polar as well as a range of physical disabilities.
“This project is a real life-line for people of all ages and this award is a real testament to the hard work and dedication of the ICT team of staff and volunteers who do so much to help people reach their goals.”
