POLICE tonight (WEDNESDAY) confirmed a fire at a North-East leisure centre is being treated as suspicious.
Firefighters were called to Eastbourne Sports Complex, in Darlington, on Tuesday evening, after a fire in a toilet block.
A spokesman for Darlington police told The Northern Echo the blaze is being treated as suspicious and inquiries are under way.
There was minor fire damage to the toilet area and smoke damage to the roof.
The facilities are managed by Darlington Borough Council.
Anyone with information about the fire can call police on 101.
