AN animal rehoming charity has appeal for donations of blankets and towels as it tries to keep the dogs, cats and rabbits it cares for warm during the cold snap.
The National Animal Sanctuaries Support League (Nassl), which rehomes animals around Darlington and County Durham, would welcome blankets, unwanted woolies, towels and winceyette sheets but not duvets.
Nassl staff will pick up any donations. The sanctuary would also welcome donations of cat food and litter and rabbit food -it has large numbers of cats and rabbits looking for a good home.
