KINDHEARTED students treated dozens of guests to an afternoon of festive fun as they hosted an annual Christmas party.
More than 100 people were entertained by year 7 students at Hummersknott Academy, in Darlington, at their annual community Christmas party.
Guests came from local care homes and luncheon clubs, while some were the grandparents of pupils.
Year 11 GCSE food technology students provided festive treats, while year 7 students looked after their guests with a little help from the school’s musicians, singers and dancers.
Rob Snowball, faculty leader for humanities, who co-ordinated the party, said: “It’s wonderful to welcome so many people from the wider Hummersknott community into the Academy at this time of year.
“The students always enjoy hosting the event and it makes a great start to the Christmas celebrations in the school.”
