SUPPORTING the valuable work of an air ambulance allowed a North-East woman to drive away in a brand new car today (Friday, December 12).
The Great North Air Ambulance Service’s (GNAAS) fourth annual car raffle saw Ripon woman Anne Duffield win a Vauxhall Corsa, supplied by Sherwoods of Darlington.
Other winners took away an overnight stay for two at Wynyard Hall and £100 cash.
The charity raffle raised £142,180, money that will be used to support the vital work of the air ambulance.
GNAAS, which needs to raise £4m annually, responds to more than 1,000 callouts a year and operates three helicopters that cover the North-East, North Yorkshire and Cumbria.
