DOGS Trust Darlington is calling on dog lovers to attend a very special ‘howl-oween’ fundraising event on Thursday .

Two-legged and four-legged guests are invited to join in with the spooky goings-on taking place at the Rehoming Centre at Sadberge from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.

The event includes a guided spooky walk, ghastly games and a fancy dress competition for dogs and their owners.

Tickets are £5 each and must be bought in advance of the event.

The ticket price includes refreshments and the spooky walk and all money raised from the event will go towards caring for the dogs until they find new homes.

Rebecca McKeown, Dogs Trust Darlington supporter relations officer, said: “This year’s event is already proving popular and we can’t wait to see everyone, especially in their fancy dress!

“Our canine residents will be bedded down for the night to avoid a fright, but anyone hoping to offer a dog a home – haunted or not – can speak with our canine carers about arranging a visit.”
