HUNDREDS of people attended a fundraising ball hosted by a North-East mayor.
Darlington mayor Gerald Lee chose to celebrate rural areas of the borough at the traditional mayor's ball last night (Friday, October 17).
The event, held at the Dolphin Centre, in Darlington town centre, raised funds for Butterwick Hospice and Phoenix House Recovery Centre, in Catterick.
Married women attending the event were invited to wear their wedding dresses to add to the sense of occasion.
