FEMALE entrepreneurs were celebrated in Darlington today (Thursday, September 18).

The Women into Business event saw business owners join together to share their skills and expertise at Darlington’s Crown Street Library.

A number of stalls showcased the wide variety of female-fronted businesses operating in the town while visitors were encouraged to find out more about self-employment.

In a bid to inspire women to become self employed, local women who own their own businesses were on hand to offer advice and information throughout the event.

The Women into Business project was organised by Enterprising Libraries, an Arts Council funded initiative that supports local economic growth and aims to turn library spaces into incubators for business ideas by providing coaching and advice.
