A MAN suffered serious head injuries following an assault at a Darlington home.
Police were called to an address on Pateley Moor Crescent, in the Firthmoor area of Darlington, at around 3.40pm yesterday (Sunday, August 17) following reports of an assault.
The 27-year-old victim was taken to James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough, where he remains in a poorly condition.
A 49-year-old Darlington man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and is currently being interviewed by detectives at Darlington police station.
