POLICE have released CCTV images of a man they are keen to question after an expensive car was vandalised.
British Transport Police (BTP) is investigating after the Mercedes-Benz parked in Garbutt Square, near Darlington railway station, was damaged in the early hours of Saturday, April 5.
PC Ryan Griffiths, from BTP, said: “The car was left securely locked in the station car park.
“At about 12.30am, a man entered the car park and began kicking the car door, which was left badly dented as a result.
“He then kicked other vehicles that were parked nearby.
“We believe the man pictured may be able to assist with our inquiries into this incident, if you recognise him we would like to hear from you.
“We would also believe a number of other vehicles in the car park may have been damaged and would appeal for any other victims to come forward.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact BTP on 0800-405-040, quoting reference PSUB/B4 of 14/4/2014.
Information can also be passed to the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800-555-111.
