VILLAGERS have been urged to help people in need by donating tins of food.
St Michael’s Church in Heighington is now being used as a tin collection point for the foodbank led by King’s Church in Darlington.
Tins donated at the church will be passed to the foodbank’s local centre at St Mary’s Church in Cockerton, where food parcels will be prepared for distribution to those struggling to feed themselves.
