Pygmy goats at Lanchester farm

THE first newborn animals of the year have arrived at a North-East visitor attraction.

Hall Hill Farm, near Lanchester, now has baby pygmy goats, which stand no more than eight inches tall.

Farm spokesman Ann Darlington said: "The pygmy goat is quite hardy and can adapt to virtually all climates.

"They are doing very well with their mothers and we do have the heat lamps though to ensure they stay warm during this cold spell."

Visitors can also see chicks, goats, highland cattle, guinea pigs and rabbits, as well taking a donkey ride.
