A CONSULTATION session is being held to explore potential improvements to the green space around the Belle Vue area of Consett.

It has been organised by Groundwork North-East, Durham Excellence in Education Partnership and Durham County Council as part of a bigger project to develop that part of the former steel town.

Leah Reminington, from Groundwork North-East, "We think the green space at Belle Vue has potential to be developed into a high quality public space, but we want to work with the local community to ensure it meets their needs.

"I would encourage local residents to come along and have their say."

The drop in session will take place on Tuesday February 9 between 3.30pm and 7.30 at Consett Community Sports College.
