A Chester-le-Street football has new kit thanks to the third year of sponsorship from a car dealer.
The Bristol Street Motors Preparation Centre in Darlington is supporting Chester-le-Street Town Under-13s , formerly known as Riverside FC, who are based at Herimtage Academy.
The team, who play in the Russell Foster Youth League, will benefit from the support of Bristol Street Motors throughout the 2011/2012 season and have already bought new kit with itheir new name on it.
Chester-le-Street Town Under-13s has 17 members from Gateshead, Birtley, Fence Houses, Chester-le-Street and Durham.
Alan Riddell, Operations Manager at Bristol Street Motors Preparation Centre, said: "I think it is very important to be engaged in the local community, especially in an area where we have a presence.
" Helping to give young people opportunities is something we value and we are thrilled to support the Chester-le-Street Town Under 13s team and hope they have a great season."
Manager Greig Garrity, who has run the club for two years, said: "We are extremely pleased with the help and support we have received from Bristol Street Motors.
"The team has worked hard for the first half of the season and is currently fourth in its division. We recently reached the third round of the County Cup, which was a fantastic achievement for us.
"This is the first youth team that I have managed after passing my Level One coaching certificate. I couldn't have asked for a better bunch of lads and parents.
"I am very proud of the hard work the team put in week after week and the committed support from parents and sponsor is tremendous."
