Railway model enthusiasts show in Shildon

RAILWAY enthusiasts are to hold a display of model train exhibitions.

Locomotion: the National Railway Museum at Shildon is holding a Model Motion event.

The session will draw together railway modellers from all over the North East and it will feature a wide range of model railways.

Amongst those showing are Shildon Model Railway Club members and Ormesby Hall Model Railway Club.

There will also be a selection of trade stands and a display by the North East Meccano Society.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy a steam train ride on a locomotive at the museum for a small charge.

The modellers event is on Saturday, 10, and Sunday, March 11, and it runs between 10am and 4pm both days.

There is free entry to the museum and event with free parking too.
