Invitation to all Shildon Greenclaws

3:22pm Tuesday 9th March 2010

A COMMUNITY allotment will be launched this weekend and volunteers are needed to dig in and help out.

The Shildon Mustard Seed Project aims to encourage people of all ages to work together to run the garden- gaining new skills, keeping active and learning about healthy food.

The garden, at Furness Pit Allotments, near Timothy Hackworth Primary School, in Shildon, will be launched on Saturday from 10am to 1pm.

There will be a free barbecue and anyone interested in giving up a little spare time to get involved is welcome.
