A WOMEN’S group has raised hundreds of pounds for charity.
The Inner Wheel Club of Bishop Auckland has raised £770 for the Great North Air Ambulance in the last two weeks.
It raised £500 from a collection at Morrisons supermarket, in the town, and a further £270 by hosting a coffee morning.
Since October the club has donated £200 to Indonesia and South Asia Disaster funds, £100 to provide Christmas parcels for soldiers serving overseas and £100 to the Haiti earthquake appeal.
Members also continue to support local charities including Women’s Aid.
