Lead and copper stolen from roof

THIEVES removed a large quantity of lead and copper from a roof in Bishop Auckland on Wednesday afternoon.
Police are appealing for information about the incident, which occurred at a house on Durham Road, near Bishop Auckland Golf Club, at around 2pm.
PC Sarah Rooney, from Bishop Auckland Police Office, said: "This will have take a substantial amount of time and they must have had a vehicle with them.
"It is an expensive thing to replace and these people need to be caught."
