| FLOWER POWER: Wyn Faill with one of the arrangements |
ON behalf of the parishioners and
Flower Festival Committee, may I
take this opportunity to express
sincere thanks for the support and
interest shown in the recent
Flower Festival at St Charles'
Church, Tudhoe, County Durham,
marking the 150th anniversary of
the foundation of the parish.
The inter-denominational
support and interest shown by the
many individuals and
organisations involved made the
festival a resounding success.
Will Roberts in his article,
"Flower festival celebrates 150
years" (Echo, May 6), and Mike
Amos, "Flower Power" (Echo, May
9), did us proud in their coverage
of the event, enabling the parish
to open up our celebrations to a
wider audience and bring to
notice the people involved in
organising the event.
Robert F Hall, Spennymoor,
Co Durham.
